elizabeth-usovicz-whitespaceElizabeth Usovicz is a top line revenue strategist focusing on strategic sales and marketing, business development and business growth. She has more than 18 years of  progressive management experience in consulting, corporate and entrepreneurial environments.

Her experience spans a spectrum of markets, both business-to-business and business-to-consumer, including technology/software, business services, pharmaceuticals/life sciences and consumer packaged goods. Her service to clients has included opportunity identification, validation and development, new market/customer development, sales strategy, lead generation, strategic alliance development and strategic product development.

As a consultant and as an executive, she has first-hand experience in capturing market opportunities and unrealized revenue in the gaps – the “WhiteSpace” – between product/service concepts and markets, and between the business functions of sales, marketing and customer service. She developed the WhiteSpace opportunity assessment process as an efficient and effective means of uncovering these untapped revenue opportunities.

Elizabeth’s experience is both wide and deep – one of the key reasons she is able to generate trust, credibility and results with her clients. She recently completed assignments as a senior executive in sales and operations roles in two entrepreneurial companies, landing one company’s largest client in its history and resolving significant cash flow and new service  development issues for another company.

She served Kessinger Consulting Associates as Vice President, Consulting Services.  At KCA she developed new business and providing top line strategy consulting services to a wide variety of clients, including client companies of the Enterprise Center of Johnson County, a business incubator managed by KCA. She also developed KCA’s client base to include Fortune 1000 companies, and new ventures in established companies expanding into new markets or developing new products.

Prior to working with KCA, she was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for RecordsCenter, a venture capital-funded technology company.   Her background also includes key roles with Deloitte, as the firm’s first Director of Marketing for Financial Services; as Vice President of the National Investment Company Service Association; and as a member of the national Strategic Marketing team at DST Output (a division of DST Systems).

Elizabeth’s career also includes extensive international business development and relationship management experience. Fluent in Spanish and French, she has conducted business and lived in Europe, Latin America and the Far East.  She is a frequent speaker on business development, and has authored several published articles on topics such as sales development and growth strategy for high-growth potential companies. She also writes a bi-weekly blog, The Thought Spot, on service leadership.

She  served on  the Board of Directors of the Kansas City Direct Marketing Association for six years, and served as KCDMA’s President for 2007-2008. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Science Pioneers. A dedicated Rotarian, Elizabeth is Past President of the Kansas City Plaza Rotary Club and served as the 2008-2009 District Governor for Rotary District 6040, which comprises 2,500 Rotarians in 54 clubs in northern Missouri.
